Senior Data Engineer, Leading Financial Company

Our client, a leading financial company, is looking for a Senior Data Engineer to join their expanding team. You will be working with some of the brilliant minds in the technology space

Responsibilities:

• Generating ad-hoc reports for marketing in different countries.

• Creating and maintaining datasets and dashboards in data visualization tools and managing access for stakeholders from various regions.

• Transporting data across different sources, constructing data workflows, overseeing data management and governance, and maintaining cloud data warehouses and lakes.

• Establishing database layers to support ad-hoc reports and insights.

• Assisting in the creation of central data layers to facilitate data scientists and data analysts.

Requirements:

• A degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related field.

• 4-5 years of relevant work experience as a business analyst in the insurance sector.

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizing skills.

• Excellent understanding of SQL data storage structures and storage/query optimizations (MySQL, Redshift, and Dynamo DB).

• Proficiency in Python.

• Experience with data visualization tools such as Power BI is beneficial.

• Familiarity with data warehousing/lake concepts, including ETL processes, real-time streaming, and data modeling.

• Knowledge of AWS Glue, AWS Lambda, AWS S3.

• Familiarity with DBT, Airflow, DMS, GIT.

• A deep understanding of how to build data pipelines.

• Excellent English verbal and written communication skills, problem-solving skills, with strong analytical abilities.
