My client, a leading investment bank in Hong Kong, is actively seeking a hands-on Java developer to work on Data related projects. The successful candidate will have good knowledge of Java and Data Development Technologies. Perm position.
The role:
You will be responsible for developing data applications and data platforms, including big data initiatives.
Design technical solutions based on current and target architectures
Develop code using best practices such as behavior/test-driven development, continuous integration/delivery/deployment, legacy refactoring
Responsible for delivering working code that meets acceptance criteria and generates a low level of support
Participate in testing, deployment, and production activities of the team to ensure production stability
Develop strong partnerships with the business, and IT counterparties in the region.
What you offer:
At least 5 years experience in developing large-scale data-driven applications, preferably with a financial institution.
Strong experience and knowledge in building enterprise data applications using Java and Spring Boot.
Experience in Big data development technologies including Kudu, Impala, Flink, Cassandra, and Spark.
Exposure and knowledge of Data Governance would be a great plus.
Strong communication in written and spoken English
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or Maths related subject from a reputable University.
