Java Software Engineer - Leading Investment Bank

As a Java Software Engineer in a leading investment bank, you will play a crucial role in developing and maintaining applications that drive financial technology platform. You will join a dynamic team of software engineers and collaborate closely with cross-functional and location teams to deliver high-quality, scalable solutions that meet our clients’ needs.

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and implement software solutions using n-tier architecture across multiple platforms.

• Utilize expertise in Core Java and Object-Oriented Programming to create robust and efficient code.

• Enhance application development with SpringBoot and SpringCloud.

• Leverage containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes for efficient deployment and scaling.

• Manage database tasks involving DB2 and PostgreSQL, including designing schemas, ensuring data integrity, and optimizing performance.

• Apply understanding of financial processes and regulations, particularly beneficial if experienced in finance or investment banking.

• Collaborate with team members, stakeholders, and clients to gather requirements and deliver solutions that meet business objectives.

• Stay updated with industry trends and contribute to the continuous improvement of development processes.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

• Around 3 - 8 years of software development experience, focusing on n-tier architecture.

• Strong proficiency in Core Java and OOP.

• Experience with SpringBoot, SpringCloud, Docker, and Kubernetes.

• Familiarity with DB2 and PostgreSQL.

• Financial or investment banking background preferred.

• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

• Strong communication in English and teamwork abilities.
