IT Business Partner - Leading Insurance Group

Our client is a leading insurance group in the region, as an IT Business Partner specializing in Life Insurance, you will act as a key liaison between the IT department and the business units, ensuring that technology solutions support and enhance the company’s life insurance operations. You will leverage your extensive knowledge of the life insurance domain, including underwriting, insurance products, compensations, claims, and more, to align IT strategies with business objectives and drive digital transformation initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Stakeholder Management:

  • Collaborate with business leaders to understand their goals, processes, and challenges within the life insurance domain.

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for IT-related inquiries and initiatives for assigned business units.

• IT Strategy and Planning:

  • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of the life insurance market and trends.

  • Assist in the creation and execution of IT roadmaps that align with business strategies and objectives.

• Project Management:

  • Lead and manage IT projects related to underwriting, insurance products, compensation systems, claims processing, and other life insurance operations.

  • Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.

• Solution Design and Implementation:

  • Work with IT teams to design and implement technology solutions that improve efficiency and effectiveness in life insurance processes.

  • Evaluate and recommend new technologies and tools that could benefit the business.

• Process Improvement:

Identify opportunities for process optimization and automation within the life insurance domain.

Collaborate with business units to implement changes that enhance productivity and customer satisfaction.

• Risk Management and Compliance:

  • Ensure IT solutions comply with industry regulations and company policies.

  • Manage risks associated with IT projects and operations in the life insurance sector.

• Training and Support:

  • Provide training and support to business users on new IT systems and processes.

  • Facilitate knowledge transfer and documentation of IT processes and solutions.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field.

• Proven experience in the life insurance industry, with a strong understanding of underwriting, insurance products, compensations, claims, etc.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with business and IT teams.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

• Experience in project management and knowledge of ITIL or similar frameworks is an advantage.

• Ability to adapt to a fast-paced and dynamic work environment.

Preferred Skills:

• Familiarity with insurance-specific software and platforms.

• Experience with digital transformation initiatives in the insurance sector.

• Knowledge of data analytics and business intelligence tools.
