API Implementation Engineer (In-House) - Financial Services

We are seeking a skilled API Implementation Engineer to join the team and contribute to the development and integration of cutting-edge API solutions. Perm position with great career promotion path.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and implement RESTful APIs using Node.js, Java, Spring Boot, and Hibernate to support our financial services offerings with external partners.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define API requirements and ensure seamless integration with existing systems.

• Utilize Swagger for API documentation and design, ensuring clarity and ease of use for other developers and stakeholders.

• Implement secure authentication and authorization protocols using OAuth 2.0.

• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to API functionality and performance.

• Work closely with DevOps and cloud engineers to deploy and manage APIs.

• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends and best practices in API development and financial services.

• Communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders in both English and Chinese (Mandarin and Cantonese).

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in API implementation or development.

• Proficiency in Node.js, Java, Spring Boot, and Hibernate.

• Experience with RESTful API design and development.

• Familiarity with API documentation tools such as Swagger.

• In-depth understanding of OAuth 2.0 for secure API interactions.

• Experience working with cloud platforms and services.

• Excellent communication skills in English, Mandarin, and Cantonese.

• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in the financial services industry.

• Knowledge of microservices architecture.

• Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
