Our client, one of the top US investment banks, are now looking for a strong and hands-on Windows Engineer to join their team and help manage, support and maintain the cloud infrastructure within the firm (including the design, build out, provisioning and driving an integration of all platforms across the organisation).

Candidates with suitable experience will be considered for the Senior / VP level role.

Responsibilities:
– Technical design, architecture and implementation of the Windows platform.  Key subject matter expert for technical troubleshooting and escalation (Level 3 support).
– Development of in-house tools (Powershell and/or VBScript) to help automate administrative tasks, bulk operations and improving internal support procedures.
– Liaise and work closely with internal IT and engineers on the IT roadmap development, strategy and integration.

Requirements:
– Technical, hands-on and in-depth troubleshooting of the Windows OS (including Server and Desktop) in a large scale, enterprise environment:
• Windows OS deployment, Active Directory / GPOs etc.
• automation / scripting using Powershell or VBScript / VB.
• systems / patch management via SCOM or SCCM.

– Virtualisation (Hyper V or vSphere) and virtual desktop environment (Citrix XenDesktop, Remote Desktop Services or View).
– Previous experience with a Bank / Financial Institution a big plus – candidates from non-banking environments welcome to apply.
– Excellent communication skills in English.
