Senior global/regional network engineering role with a top-tier financial firm in Hong Kong; Excellent remuneration and growth potential

Network Infra Engineering develops mission-critical solutions including low-latency market data network, exchange connectivity, security, data center physical network design, regional inter-office connectivity. There is a strong regional/global collaboration and knowledge sharing. Excellent opportunity to grow.

Responsibilities:
– Work closely with the business stakeholders to gather requirements and ensure high service standard; Identify technical requirements for voice solutions
– Develop technology strategies and ensure best practices for the network infrastructure related to trading systems
– Oversee technical implementation, testing, documentation; Ensure proper knowledge transfer
– Provide subject matter expertise on data network when collaborating with other technology/infra teams (voice, multimedia, market data, server, security, data center, etc.)
– Manage/optimize project implementation and delivery
– Build trusted relationship with key stakeholders regarding network services through clear and effective communication
– Provide Level 3 support when necessary
– Vendor management

Requirements: 
– Proven experience in design/architecture/support/testing of mid to large scale data network solutions in a mission-critical environment
– In-depth knowledge of data centre design principles, products and protocols
– Good appreciation of Network Security architectures, models and methodologies, Authentication schemes, Encryption techniques and standards
– Extensive technical experience using many of the following: Cisco Routers, Switches, Nexus, ASR, ISR product lines, Cisco IOS, IOS-XE, NX-OS, IOS-XR, Juniper JunOS, GRE/IPSec, IDS/IPS, Security platforms and other Enterprise security related tools
– Design and product experience with firewalls’ Juniper Netscreen/JunOs and Palo Alto
– Experience working on monitoring and resolving network security and breaches, relevant experience on Security hardening on various platforms. Familiar with industry best practices in network security
– Ability to work with global teams; strong teamwork skills- Self initiated and motivated
– Client management and relationship building skills
– Good large-scale project management / prioritization skills
– Ability to guide and lead junior engineers
– Exposure to a wide range of related technologies: market data, voice, multimedia, etc.
