Our client, a leading investment bank, is looking for a talented UNIX & DBA Engineer to join their infrastructure team. The selected candidate will support their front office technology infrastructure. Perm position. Great potential and remuneration.

Responsibilities:
– Provide and manage Technical Support for Solaris, Red Hat and Sybase.
– Responsible for Unix support and projects including administration, configurations, patching, upgrades, and deployment, etc. Working with global team to provide global infrastructure support.
– Manage Database administration including installation, performance tuning, configuration, capacity planning and on-going maintenance.
– Ensure database integrity, security, stability, and system availability.
– Work closely with business and technology counterparts on project coordination and technical matters.

Requirements:
– At least 4 years of Linux / Unix Systems support and administration experience.
– Experience of Unix/Linux Operating System in Solaris / Redhat Linux.
– Knowledge of Unix/Linux System knowledge including performance optimization, System tuning, Robustness etc.
– Knowledge of Perl or Shell (and/or other scripting languages) is highly preferable.
– Experience in managing database systems is a great plus.
– Knowledge of Virtualization technology (such as VMware, HyperV,  Oracle Zone & LDOM)
– Excellent English Communications skill and interpersonal skills.
