My client, a reputable hedge fund with global presence, is actively seeking a strong support engineer to join their expanding team in Hong Kong.

Responsibilities and Duties:
– Administrate and maintain critical trading applications within a distributed multi-server environment
– Work closely with the Desktop, Network and Development teams and assist when necessary
– Develop scripts and other tools to support our trading systems operations as required
– Follow IT policies and procedures as set forth by the management
– Provide direct support to traders
– After hours
– Give and receive constructive feedback

Requirements:
– Degree in Computer Science or related degree
– 3+ years experience Trading Support experience (preferably with a buy side institution)
– Excellent technical troubleshooting and problem solving skills under pressure/live trading environment
– Excellent scripting skills (Python, Perl, PHP, SQL, Java) and strong knowledge of Linux
– Solid understanding of System Infrastructure and Networking
– Excellent communication skills in both English and Mandarin
