Our client, a leading finance firm, is looking for an accomplished vendor manager with enterprise technology background to join their regional team.

Job Responsibilities:
– Lead/engage in contract/SLA negotiations for technology within the Asia region
– Liaise with various risk management groups, such as Legal/Compliance, Finance, IT Security, Compliance, to ensure firm’s vendor management policies/procedures are followed
– Create financial analysis of transactions – review of vendor financial viability as well as budgeting. Focus on assessing vendor costs, identifying and creating benchmark analysis as well as identifying  cost savings opportunities
– Maintain and improve internal (technology managers) and external (vendors) relationships
– Responsible for monitoring strategic vendor management activities and trends as well as their impact across the firm/business units and budget implications

Basic Qualifications:
– Proven experience (5-10 years) in contract negotiation and understanding of vendor management fundamentals
– Experience in technology (telecom, network, software/application)related vendor negotiations, inventory management systems or vendor management
– Fluent written and spoken English skills, Mandarin is a plus
– Ability to speak to external vendors and clients with confidence and authority
– In-depth knowledge on industry trends (business, economic, market)
– Demonstrable project management skills
– Analytical skills
– Knowledge of Excel, Word and PowerPoint
