Our client, a leading company in the General Insurance sector, is seeking a talented and experienced Solution Architect to join the dynamic team and help drive the technology product initiatives in the General Insurance space. Perm Position

As a Solution Architect, you will be responsible for ensuring the successful implementation of technology solutions that support and enhance the technology product portfolio. You will collaborate closely with Business Analysts, Product Owners, and Development Teams to define and deliver innovative solutions that meet the strategic needs of our business.

Responsibilities:
– Design end-to-end technology architectures, ensuring alignment with business objectives, scalability, and performance requirements.
– Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and analyze business requirements, translating them into clear and concise technical specifications and architectural designs.
– Develop and maintain application and system integration patterns, frameworks, and best practices to enable efficient and scalable technology implementations.
– Evaluate and select appropriate technology solutions, frameworks, and tools that meet business and technical requirements, ensuring compatibility and alignment with the company’s technology landscape.
– Drive the development of solution prototypes, proofs of concept, and technical feasibility studies to demonstrate business value and mitigate implementation risks.
– Provide technical guidance and mentorship to development teams, ensuring adherence to architectural standards, coding best practices, and technology trends.
– Monitor industry trends, emerging technologies, and regulatory changes in the General Insurance domain, assessing their potential impact on our product portfolio and identifying opportunities for innovation and improvement.
– Collaborate with stakeholders at all levels to communicate architectural decisions, trade-offs, and solution designs effectively.
– Participate in project planning activities, providing effort estimates, resource management, and technical guidance to ensure successful and timely project delivery.

Requirements:
– Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
– Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Solution Architect in the General Insurance or Insurance Technology domain.
– Strong understanding of General Insurance products, business processes, and regulatory requirements.
– Proven experience in designing and implementing technology solutions for General Insurance products, including policy administration, claims management, underwriting, and customer engagement.
– Extensive knowledge of modern software development practices, architectures, and frameworks.
– Proficiency in cloud-based technologies, microservices, API management, and data integration techniques.
– Excellent communication in English and Chinese (Cantonese), presentation, and interpersonal skills.
– Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, managing multiple priorities and stakeholders.
– Relevant certifications such as TOGAF, AWS Certified Solutions Architect, or similar, would be advantageous but not a must.
