Our client, a global financial group, is currently looking for a Software & Platform Engineering leader to join their Asia technology team. They have a large team of software engineers in Asia and building their platform engineering as well. The selected candidate will be part of their senior technology leadership to drive the regional technology adoptions and development.

Responsibilities:
– Lead the Software & Platform Engineering Team to accelerate the delivery of software by providing reusable components.
– Build and implement core technology components which enhance the performance, supportability, and security.
– Manage and oversee the reliability of the platform to maintain a higher availability and consistently improving resiliency as the platform scales.
– Manage the regional software engineers and platform reliability engineers.
– Lead the innovation and development of the software engineering platform and put experimentation on emerging technologies.
– Work with global and regional technologists to uncover pain points and opportunities to accelerate the delivery of software.

Requirements:
– Proven leadership experience in building technical resources and teams.
– Deep cloud-native software engineering experience in Java, JavaScript, .NET, HTML5, CSS3, Swift etc.
– Strong architecture knowledge in designing and articulating the architecture of cloud-native solutions at scale.
– In-depth understanding of Agile and DevOps principles, test-driven development, CI and other approaches to accelerate the delivery of new features.
– Excellent communications skills to work with all level people in the organizations.
– Love to experimenting new emerging technologies. Ability to understand how they will impact the technology stacks.
