Our client, a leading Insurance Group in Hong Kong, is looking for a Delivery Lead to manage the service delivery across the offshore center in Mainland China. The selected candidate will be based in Hong Kong working with the IT counterparts and managing the software delivery standard for the offshore teams. It is a high-profile position that works along with other leaders in the organization.

Responsibilities:
– Provide management and oversight for the Offshore delivery center mainly in Software delivery management, governance, resources management, financial management, etc.
– Build a strong relationship with stakeholders in both technology and business to ensure a smooth outsourcing delivery.
– Review the software delivery standard down to coding and QA level to build a firmwide standard for the offshore team.
– Building governance, standards, and policy in the offshore team which aligns with the firm standard.
– Provide clear situations up-date and advise to IT executives, on future offshore delivery management strategy and model.
– Help in building a strong firm culture across the delivery center which aligns with the firm strategy.
– Provide operational standards, guidelines, and compliance locally.
– Occasional travel to the offshore delivery center to build a strong working relationship with the offshore teams.

Requirements:
– Experience in IT Managed Service delivery in a large-scale enterprise environment.
– Offshore management experience with at least over 50 people in an offshore delivery center.
– Hands-on development experience in OOD languages said Java, C++, and C#. Exposure to recent common frameworks like Java Springboot, Python Django, Flask, React, and Angular, etc.
– Knowledge and expertise of automation testing framework/ tool not limited to Jmeter, selenium, and BDD testing approach.
– Experience with a large international enterprise as well as vendor-side exposure.
– Excellent people engagement and relationship-building skills, to work with regional stakeholders.
– Hands-on experience with distributed systems infrastructure, Kafka, Redis, Kubernetes, Docker, Splunk, Jenkins etc.
– Agile/ SCRUM Software Development Process experience is required
– Excellent communications skill in English AND Mandarin.
– Bachelor’s degree or Master’s degree in Computer Science / Engineering / Management.
