My client, an elite global investment bank, is looking for a top-notch java developer with caching and nosql experience to build out their green-field Real-Time Market Data Platform from scratch.

Responsibilities:
– Develop strategic, front office, real-time market data analytics / reference platform (real-time market data, historical data, statistical data)
– Work directly with quants, traders, salespeople to understand their data analysis needs and provide tactical solutions
– Develop and maintain high-performance data analytics / storage systems through optimal database design, data architecture, system design, etc.
– Ensure high data integrity and stability of the exiting data platform

Requirements:
– Proven Java development experience ideally in real-time environment
– Strong knowledge in caching (Coherence, Hazelcast, Redis) and No SQL database (MongoDB, Cassandra, MarkLogic) technologies
– Proven development experience delivering mission-critical solutions
– Ability to work directly/closely with front office users (traders, sales, quants) highly preferred
– Bachelors degree or higher in related fields (Computer Science, Maths, Engineering, etc.)
– Excellent written and verbal communication skills
– Able to work in a high-pressure environment, and to deliver results quickly; Problem solving skills; analytics skills
