Support Engineers (SRE) will have a deep understanding of how applications function and ensuring crisp application function throughout its lifetime. Individuals in the support team will be working closely with application development teams on automation and will take ownership of problems, work to determine the solutions, and follow through on the resolution.

The global support team will be managed centrally in the region but each member will be directly aligned and imbedded with specific businesses and work closely with those team members in Chicago, New York, and London.

Responsibilities:
– Ensure the reliability, availability, and performance of production applications
– Provide day to day support for multiple applications, services, and infrastructure globally
– Handle day to day operational requests
– Assist in the automation of repetitive tasks
– Troubleshoot issues and discrepancies with the appropriate individuals, teams, or vendors
– Assist with major incidents from identification and troubleshooting through service restoration
– Ensure best practices and create frameworks to drive stable and scalable products

Qualifications:
– Fully proficient in at least one modern structured programming language (Python, Java, C++, C#, Scala, etc.)
– Experience troubleshooting ambiguous problems and performing root cause analysis
– Strong understanding of IT infrastructure (Linux, network technologies, relational databases, web technologies, etc)
– Comfortable with a range of current software development tools and practices (testing, source control, build systems, CI/CD etc)
– SQL and database experience a strong plus.
– Web UI experience (e.g., knows javascript, CSS and similar web languages) a plus.
– Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Education:
– Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent experience
