Our client, a leading high-frequency trading firm in HK, is looking for an expert linux system admin to join their growing team.

Responsibilities:
– Work with highly skilled professionals and leverage your expertise to provide hands-on technical administration on low-latency trading machines
– Wear multiple hats to provide flexible technical support of the trading platform (including linux, unix, network, connectivity, etc.) in a smaller buy-side firm
– Lead a team of junior linux/unix professionals to provide guidance/mentoring

Requirements:
– 5-10 years of proven high-performance, advanced Linux/Unix admin experience
– Excellent Linux System knowledge including performance optimization, clustering, robustness, high-frequency trading, etc
– Knowledge of Unix Operating System (Solaris)
– Knowledge of network administration
– Strong knowledge of Perl (and/or other scripting languages)
– Strong business-facing and interaction skills are required
– Excellent verbal/written communication skills in English
– Energetic; Able to thrive in a fast-paced environment

Desired Skills:
– Previous management/leadership experience
– Experience with Unix/Linux security is preferred
– Knowledge/exposure to enterprise storage solutions
– Strong documentation skills
– Can-do attitude and ability to learn quickly
