Our client, a leading global investment bank, is looking for a seasoned machine learning engineer with strong development background to join their high-profile A.I. driven algorithmic trading team

Position Description:
The Algorithmic Trading team is looking for a solid machine learning specialist / developer to join our Hong Kong team.

Our trading platform is purely developed in-house; the successful candidate will work closely with Electronic Execution desk, Equity Traders and Technologists to deliver high quality, cutting edge solutions for the Asia Pacific region.

The candidate will have to work effectively in a dynamic and diversified team environment

Job Responsibilities:
– Develop/improve/maintain algorithmic trading engine using machine/deep learning techniques
– Develop/improve new and existing trading strategies
– Be involved in full software development lifecycle, including support
– Provide tactical and strategic solutions to fulfill business needs
– Resolve operational issues and implement preventative measures

Essential Skills and Experience:
– Proven knowledge in Machine learning, R/Python
– Proficient in C#/Java and SQL
– Good understanding of fundamental computer science concepts
– Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
– Capable of meeting tight deadlines
– Ability to pay attention to detail even under pressure
– Good team player and open to new ideas

Preferred Skills, Experience and Competencies:
– Development experience in the finance industry is a plus
– Experience in algorithmic trading is a plus
– Good exchange and market data knowledge
– Enthusiastic, self-motivated and willing to learn
