
Looking for a passionate network expert to join a global technology organization to provide expert-level level 3 network support. The level 3 team provides deployment, maintenance and support of global data&voice network using latest cutting edge technologies.
Responsibilities:
– Support global data infrastructure; Provide incident/problem and change management
– Analyze and troubleshoot global network platform including routers, switches, load balancers, firewalls, etc.
– Monitor and ensure stability and performance requirements (latency)
– Resolve high impacting network incidents as a subject matter expert
– Be the point of escalation for level 1 and level 2 support teams
– Provide occasional on-call / shirt rotation as part of a global “follow-the-sun” model
Requirements
– At least 5 years of enterprise network experience in a reputable financial, MNC, internet service provider, carrier firms
– Hands-on experience in data network with expertise in IP routing and LAN switching
– Proven ability to decode packet captures and identify root issues
– Knowledge in Cisco switches/routers, Junior switches/routers, and load balancers
– Must have strong knowledge and experience with Ethernet and WAN technologies (multi-layer switching, SPT, VPC, SONET/SDH, MPLS, etc.)
– Proficiency in network protocols (OSPF, BGP, RIP) and multicast routing technologies (PIM, IGMP, MSDP)
– Good exposure to low-latency tools: Corvil, Endace, nPulse
– Excellent communication and team work skills
– CCIE R&S or equivalent is preferred
– Proficiency in Unix/Linux is a plus
