My client, a reputable asset management firm located in Hong Kong, is actively seeking a hands-on Python Developer to join their expanding team. The successful candidate will work with some of the brightest talents in the industry to build cutting-edge real-time risk solutions for their highly profitable asset management business.

What you offer:

– Involvement in design, analysis, development and testing to build high-quality software and products.
– Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders (Front Office/Middle Office/Compliance users), and keep them updated on the progress of projects

– Participate in testing, deployment and production activities of the team to ensure production stability.
– Engage in process re-engineering, software enhancement, cybersecurity and next-generation (Big Data/AI/ML etc.) initiatives
– Work in close collaboration with a dynamic team of top technologists, quant researchers, traders as well as external stakeholders.

What you offer:
– University Degree in Computer Science or equivalence
– 3+ years of hands-on experience developing commercial applications
– Hands-on experience in Python application development
– Proven experience in web-based front-end (Django / React.js) application development.
– Good understanding of object-oriented, multi-threading programming concepts
– Able to work independently under tight schedules and pressure
– Good command of both spoken and written English
– Good team player
– Experience in design patterns, algorithms and sound knowledge of various data structures
– Knowledge of web technologies (For example: Semantic UI, D3.js, Node.js, etc.) is a huge plus.
– Understanding of investment banking or hedge fund businesses, as well as the underneath and components in both flow and exotic financial instruments
– Working experience on the trading floor
