Our client, a leading investment bank, is now looking for an L3 Virtualisation Lead Engineer to join their infrastructure team here in Hong Kong. The successful candidate will be part of a regional team responsible for Level 3 support, engineering, and projects across APAC (HK, SG, CN, JP, etc.); as well as demonstrating their ability to grow into a team lead/manager.

Responsibilities:
L3 management and technical support covering the bank’s desktop and virtualisation platforms in an enterprise environment
Hands-on installation, configuration, and deployment/execution of projects (cloud, growth of the bank’s infrastructure, etc.)
Regional role covering and supporting countries including Hong Kong, Singapore, China, Japan, etc.
Desktop engineering, VMWare ESX / vSphere, Citrix XenApp / VDI, OS imaging, SCCM, O365 and Azure / Cloud, Identity management, scripting, etc.

Requirements:
– At least 8 to 10+ years of hands-on L3 infrastructure experience in an enterprise environment (installation, configuration, troubleshooting, support, and project delivery/execution)
— Windows 7 & 10, Enterprise Active Directory, Azure / Cloud (Windows Desktop Master / Corporate Desktop)
— Citrix XenApp / XenDesktop, and related virtualisation engineering
— Experience with Windows Server technologies (DNS, DHCP, DFS, NTFS, etc.)
— Scripting and automation via Powershell
– ITIL experience: incident management and support
– Demonstrable lead experience and ability to manage, nurture and guide a technical team of infrastructure engineers
– Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering (or related) from a reputable University
– Strong technical ability and language skills to handle major outages, and incidents, and drive support & resolution
– Banking and Finance experience is not mandatory (but would be a plus)
