Our client is a leading insurance group, they are currently building a PaaS Cloud-based software platform for their Global and Asia software delivery.  They are hiring a strong development lead to join their team to build this exciting platform. Working with a global development team and brilliant minds in the industry.

Responsibilities:
– Lead the technical engineering design and development of their Microservices and API Platform.
– Keep up to date with the latest cloud technology stack across their benefits and drawbacks.
– Be technical expertise in the microservices and API platform, and provide expertise in solving technical problems.
– Lead the Agile sprints and supports rapid iteration and development.
– Review technology design and architecture.
– Lead development projects across technology resources, timeline, and technical details.
– Aim to create a high-impact application platform across the organization.

Requirements:
– Extensive development experience in building multi-processors, cloud technology-based platforms based on Azure PaaS, Kubernetes (AKS), or PCF.
– Extensive development background across Java, SpringBoot, and Spring Core.
– Strong understanding of Agile and DevOps principles, using Test Driven Development, CI/CD, approaches to accelerate the delivery.
– Extensive experience in REST/SOAP data connectivity layers using JPA/JTA  (Hibernate/Bitronix).
– OOD programming and design patterns experience.
– Experience with in-memory databases like Gemfire / Hazelcast etc.
– Experience with web-based technology like JavaScript, NodeJS, and AngularJS.
– Experience with middleware technologies like RabbitMQ, Kafka, and MQSeries.
– API-driven development and principles using products like Apigee, Apigee EDGE.
– Familiar with the Open Sources technologies.
– Familiar with scripting languages like JavaScript, and Python.
– Able to coach junior engineers and able to bring passion to the growing development team.
– Lead experience in bringing the end-to-end development project.
– Strong communications skills in English, ability to bring the technical vision, possibilities, and outcome in an articulate effective way across the whole firm.
– Engineering Degree from a reputable University.
