Our client, a leading investment bank is looking for a Java Backend Development Lead for their flagship technology projects. The selected candidate will be working on large-scale development and build the world-class technology platform buildout.

Responsibilities:
– Lead the full application delivery lifecycle across the concept, design, build, and deployment.
– Work with the business in solving business problems through technology in a fast environment, while maintaining high-quality software and performance.
– Design high performance and transaction-bound processing technology.
– Interface with business stakeholders and IT counterparts in understanding requirements, design solutions, and implementation.
– Lead and facilitate meetings, and work with business users and product owners on technology solutions.
– Deliver innovative forward-thinking solutions with the team in bringing technological advancement.
– Drive the new system integrations with existing banking technology and platform.

Responsibilities:
– At least 8+ years of development experience in Java (Java 8 or above) with Multi-threading, design patterns, and OO Design.
– Experience driving the full SDLC from software requirement collections, development, and testing.
– Relevant Java experience in Spring, Spring boot, and microservices.
– Strong event/message-driven architecture with MQ and/or Kafka etc.
– Strong database concepts, SQL and stored procedures. Understanding of NoSQL Databases is a great plus.
– Cloud (Private / Public) deployment experience is a great plus.
– Good communication skills and interpersonal skills.
– Good written and verbal communications in English.
– University Degree from a reputable University.
