Our client, an elite global financial firm is looking for a talented and energetic application support professional to join their growing team

Responsibilities:
– Provide application support for high-performance FX Trading systems (someone who has Equities but NOT FX will also be considered)
– Work directly with clients to build trusted relationship and provide timely technical/functional support
– Work with development teams regarding long-term support issues and improvements; Proactively find ways to improve the long-term stability of the trading platform
– Take ownership of production issues and provide incident management
– Provide project management as necessary (capacity, performance, upgrades, reporting, documentation)

Requirements:
– 5-7+ years of application support at a reputable financial firm
– Commercial experience/knowledge in FX Trading preferred (Will consider candidates with strong experience with other asset classes)
– Possess energy and enthusiasm to thrive in high-pressure environment and work with demanding users
– Independent and mature; Ability to work in a regional, global team
– Proficient in the following technical skills: Unix/Linux, SQL, Shell, FIX, Python, Perl, FIX, etc. (Strong scripting/programming ability in python, perl preferred)
– Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
– Excellent Japanese language skills (can relocate someone too)
