Our client is a leading financial institution in the banking industry and is currently seeking a skilled and qualified Computer Operator to join our dynamic team.

Responsibilities:
– Monitor and control computer systems, ensuring smooth and efficient operation.
– Perform routine system backups and ensure data integrity.
– Execute batch processing, job scheduling, and monitoring of file transfers.
– Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and network issues, escalating to senior staff or vendors when necessary.
– Perform routine preventive maintenance on computer systems and peripherals.
– Maintain system documentation such as standard operating procedures, user manuals, and inventory records.
– Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends to proactively suggest system improvements and efficiencies.

Requirements:
– HKCEE/HKDSE with 5 subjects, including Chinese, English, and Mathematics at Level 2/Attained/Grade E or equivalent or above; OR
– Related IT experience covering the following:
– Experience in IBM z/OS, UNIX & Windows preferred
– Need to attend shift duty
– Good communication & interpersonal skills
