Our client, one of the leading and global engineering groups, is now keen to meet with and hire a strong IT and Cloud Engineer to join their team and help implement and deliver cloud IT for some of the largest engineering projects in Hong Kong.

Responsibilities:
– Hands-on installation, configuration, monitoring and support for their infrastructure and cloud environment (VMWare, Microsoft Azure, Kubernetes etc.)
– Support and monitor back-end server (Windows, Linux, AD, File Sharing, data backup/restore etc.)
– Additional infrastructure elements include networking and firewall security.
– Project implementation and support in locations including office, remote, and on-site (Hong Kong).
– Vendor and supplier management, IT procurement, consultancy tenders, reporting and problem escalation to senior management.

Requirements:
– At least 4 to 5+ years of hands-on experience covering infrastructure and cloud environments, including VMWare, Azure, and Kubernetes. Jira, MongoDB and cloud monitoring (Datadog) would also be useful.
– Network experience including LAN, WAN, Mobile LTE, NB IOT, IPsec, GRE, MPLS, VPN.  Windows, Linux and/or NAS & SAN Storage is preferred.
– Scripting and programming languages including VB, VBS, VBA, Python, and database programming (MSSQL, MongoDB, open-source / Firebird).
– General Windows desktop and end-user support (PC support, O365, hardware/printer troubleshooting) would be a plus.
– Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related discipline.
– Excellent team player and strong communication skills in English and Cantonese are required.
