Our client, an overseas securities firm with a well established and growing presence in Asia, is now looking for a strong engineer to join their team in Hong Kong.  This is a hands-on role covering back-end server, network, end user and operational support, as well as on going project implementation and infrastructure roll outs for their China office.

Responsibilities:
– Day-to-day operations and support of their IT infrastructure including Windows Server, Desktop (Windows 7 or 10), network (routers, switches, firewalls, LAN / WAN) and VDI.
– Support existing end users and desktop environment across Asia: Hong Kong, Shanghai and Singapore.
– Hands-on implementation and IT project delivery.
– Occasional travel to Asia offices.

Requirements:
– Minimum 5 years experience in a hands-on role (installation, configuration, management and support) covering:
• Windows Server 2003 / 2008 / 2012, Active Directory and Exchange
• Win 7 or Windows 10, migrations from XP-Win7 and/or Win 7-10
• LAN / WAN, Cisco routers, switches, firewalls, and IP Phones
• Virtualisation via VMWAre

– Hands-on project implementation and delivery such as upgrades, migrations and overseas office build-outs.  Experience setting up office and IT infrastructure in China highly desirable.
– Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related.
– Microsoft, Cisco or ITIL certifications a plus.
– Strong communication skills in English and Mandarin.
