Our client, a leading insurance group, is looking for a Fullstack Developer with Java / Python for their web-based application platform. The selected candidate will be building a high-performance web-based application. It would be a great opportunity to join a leading insurance group.

Responsibilities:
– Manage the entire application delivery lifecycle across concept, design, build, deploy, test, release, and support.
– Manage Microservices API connection with various data sources and owners.
– Design and implement low-latency, high-availability, and performant web-based applications.
– Deliver innovative forward-thinking solutions with the team in bringing technological advancement.
– Design and build highly scalable and resilient services and libraries which incorporate the new technical solutions.
– Aim to build a product highly valued with Security, Scalability, and High Performance

Responsibilities:
– Around 3 – 5 years of full-stack development experience in either Java / Python.
– Hands-on experience with Django, Flask, or other Python frameworks
– Experience driving the full SDLC from software requirement collections, development, and testing.
– Good understanding of server-side templating languages such as Jinja 2, Mako, etc.
– Experience working with source code management tools (e.g. Github, Bitbucket)
– Experience working with CI tools (e.g. Jenkins, TeamCity)
– Proficient in database concepts and constructs, including data models (normalization, foreign key, surrogate key, etc)
– Proficient in working with large data volumes (e.g. millions to billions of records)
– Proficient in performance tuning SQL, including the use of explained plans, partitions, hints, etc.
– Pride in readable, well-designed, well-tested software or scripts
– Experience with Agile development methodology
– Good communication skills and interpersonal skills.
– Good written and verbal communication in English and Chinese (Cantonese)
– University Degree from a reputable University.
