Our client, a leading investment bank, is looking for a proven and experienced Excel VBA / Python–RAD Developer to join their team.

Summary
The main purpose of the position is to support and improve front-office systems for the Equity & Derivatives business line). The ideal candidate will provide functional and technical IT support as well as development across front-to-back office-related systems.

Key Responsibilities:
The role is centered around 3 major work leads for which the successful candidate will split his time equally across Business Support Activity, Developer Activity, and Process Improvement.

Role Requirements:
– Degree holder in Computer Science or related discipline
– 3 – 4 years’ investment banking work experience with VBA/SQL development
– Good knowledge of Front to Back process, Pre-trade/Post-trade chain and market access.
– Good knowledge of Global Market activities and Equity derivatives products (exotic products preferable)
– Strong knowledge of VBA/VBS with good analytic skills in debugging and analysis.
– Proficiency in scripting language: vbs, bat, PowerShell, Unix
– Knowledge in production monitoring and alerting
– Experience with PowerShell and Unix scripting, Java and .Net troubleshooting, Oracle and MS SQL
– Knowledge/Experience in Python is a plus
– Experience in Agile, TDD and continuous delivery is a plus
– Knowledge in C# and .NET Framework or Java 8 and Spring Framework a plus
– Proactive and quick learner, independent and proven ability to work under tight target and pressure
– Good team player with excellent interpersonal skills
– Fluent in English both verbal and written
