Our client, a leading financial institution, is looking for an Enterprise Architect with the main focus on Application layer Architect to join their Architecture office. The selected candidate will be building enterprise application architecture standards for the whole development group. It is an exciting position working with some of the brilliant technology minds.

Responsibilities:
– Act as Subject Matter Expert on application architecture to establish common policies, standards, frameworks, reference architecture, blueprints, and roadmaps.
– Design and develop guidelines and frameworks for development teams to adopt as they deliver applications.
– Evaluate projects across development teams per application design standards, articulating project and broader risks.
– Create prototype applications and frameworks to physically showcase concepts and ideas across IT, Operations and Business.
– Engage with the development and projects team to support applying the Application Architecture standards and frameworks.

Required skills/experience:
– At least 8 years of experience in Application Architecture across enterprise-level application, infrastructure, systems, database, and integration components.
– Extensive experience in establishing design standards and governing standards.
– Experience in working with multiple development methodologies including Waterfall, Agile etc.
– Experience in designing API architecture, strategy, and pattern
– Experience in designing solutions with event-driven architecture design as well as various integration approaches (message-oriented middleware, web service, API’s, database)
– In-depth knowledge and practical experience in delivering event-driven architecture design, and container-based architecture designs.
– Enthusiastic with emerging technologies including cloud computing, distributed ledger technology, and other FinTech initiatives
– Bachelor’s or Master’s degree from a reputable University.
– Excellent communication skills in English and/or Cantonese.
