Our client, a leading financial institution, is looking for a Digital Technology Delivery and Software Engineering Director who will be responsible for overseeing the strategic planning, execution, and delivery of digital technology initiatives within the organization. This role will require a deep understanding of financial services, as well as expertise in software engineering principles and methodologies.

Responsibilities:
– Lead the digital technology delivery function to ensure successful implementation and delivery of strategic initiatives, while maintaining a focus on quality, scalability, and security.
– Collaborate with other business and technology leaders to define the digital technology roadmap aligned with the company’s overall strategy and objectives.
– Provide thought leadership and technical expertise to guide the development and implementation of innovative digital solutions, leveraging emerging technologies in the financial services industry.
– Manage a team of software engineers and technology professionals, providing clear direction, coaching, and mentorship to drive high performance and foster a culture of innovation.
– Develop and implement best practices for software engineering and delivery processes, including agile methodologies, automated testing, continuous integration, and continuous delivery.
– Establish and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders, ensuring ongoing collaboration, effective communication, and successful partnerships.
– Stay informed about industry trends, emerging technologies, and regulatory changes that impact digital technology and software engineering in the financial services sector.
– Collaborate with Enterprise Architecture on firm-wide architecture strategy and implement platform roadmaps.
– Monitor and control project budgets, timelines, and resources to ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budgetary guidelines.
– Collaborate with external vendors and partners to ensure alignment, effective coordination, and successful delivery of outsourced technology projects.
– Drive a culture of innovation, creativity, and continuous improvement within the digital technology and software engineering teams.

Requirements:
– Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
– Extensive experience in digital technology delivery, preferably within the financial services industry.
– Proven track record of managing large-scale software development projects, delivering innovative solutions, and driving successful outcomes.
– In-depth knowledge of software engineering principles, methodologies, and best practices, including agile development, DevOps, and CI/CD.
– Experience in delivering digital projects in a cloud environment, ideally with a hybrid cloud setup.
– Strong leadership skills with the ability to influence and inspire a wide range of stakeholders.
– Excellent communication and collaboration skills in English, with the ability to effectively present complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
– Up-to-date knowledge of emerging technologies, industry trends, and regulatory requirements in the financial services sector.
– Experience managing and leading high-performing teams, with a focus on fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.
– Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple competing priorities.
– Relevant certifications, such as PMP, CSM, or other agile and software engineering certifications, are a plus.
