Our client is looking for a DevOps Engineer to join their DevOps Team to implement SDLC best practices for software developers and Portfolio Managers. The focus is to reduce friction in the SDLC Process.

Job Responsibilities
– Take an engineering-first approach to automate operating our DevOps tools and services
– Ensure our DevOps services are highly resilient and available through best practice architectures
– Build and maintain a strong DevRel Culture with our key stakeholders across Corporate Technology and PMs
– Define and set strategy on SDLC best practices with strongly opinionated positions and facilitate the adoption of these practices
– Continuously evaluate and improve our DevOps product portfolio with a commercial approach
– Identify friction points within the SDLC lifecycle and work to eliminate those points via automation

 Job Requirements
– Proficiency in at least one programming language (i.e. Python, Java, Go, etc.)
– Familiarity with various DevOps toolsets and SDLC Best Practices: Planning, Source Control, CI/CD, Artifact Lifecycle Management, Software Quality Analysis, Observability
– Exposure to Infrastructure as Code technologies (i.e. Chef, Ansible, Terraform)
– Exposure to AWS and On-Prem environments
– Computer Science degree or equivalent
– A self-starter who demonstrates strong ownership and a sense of urgency
– Analytical mentality who takes a data-driven approach to problem-solving
– Highly collaborative and works well within a team
– Works effectively in a lean agile framework
– Engages with customers to achieve positive outcomes
– Strong written and verbal communication skills
