Our client, a leading Financial Services Software Company, is seeking a highly skilled DevOps Engineer to join their growing team.
In this role, you will oversee the entire process of managing client support demands, starting from initial client communication to demand analysis and resolution in collaboration with the product and development teams.
As the primary interface for Level 1/2 support, you will establish strong relationships with clients and banking counterparts, serving as a trusted representative of our company.
You will have the opportunity to participate in various cross-domain projects, enabling you to expand your skills and experience in scripting, system administration, and other DevOps practices.
Reporting to the lead support engineer, you will gain hands-on experience with a leading financial technology company, working alongside a dynamic team across diverse industries.
– Proactively monitor the platform, utilizing and enhancing existing log collection and alerting tools.
– Serve as the initial point of contact for Buy-Side and Sell-Side clients.
– Identify and troubleshoot incidents to ensure prompt system recovery.
– Collaborate with product and technical teams to create and manage tickets.
– Perform and enhance morning checks to ensure application stability and reliability before market hours.
– Minimum 3 years of experience in an Application/IT support role, including client interaction, problem tracking, and resolution.
– Proficiency in SQL scripting.
– Familiarity with Linux environment (command line/scripting). (Windows experience will be considered if accompanied by Powershell scripting proficiency.)
– Knowledge of Python is a plus.
– Experience in supporting connectivity layers (FIX experience is beneficial).
– Familiarity with log collection tools such as Kibana and Splunk is preferred.
– Strong grasp of system documentation best practices, utilizing the Atlassian suite.
– Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
– Exceptional verbal and written communication skills in English.
– Client-focused mindset with the ability to effectively communicate with external counterparts via email and verbal channels.
