Our client, one of the leading investment banks in Hong Kong, is now keen to meet with and hire a talented Database Administrator to join their team and help manage and support their database environment and platforms across Asia.

This is an excellent opportunity for a strong DBA to join one of the leading Investment Banks and gain exposure working with different teams and colleagues within the organisation, as well as managing/enforcing/enhancing database security, access controls, database hardening, audit, etc.

Responsibilities:
– Manage, monitor, and provide local & and regional support for database platforms (Oracle, MSSQL, Sybase, and MongoDB) plus incident support calls.
– Monitor database health and backup.  Manage high availability and disaster recovery database platforms; as well as database design, capacity planning, and performance optimization.
– Implement and maintain database security principles and access controls.  Manage database hardening and auditing.
– Oversee database upgrades, patching, and use SQL & Shell scripting for automation, and maintain inventory documentation and updates.

Requirements:
– At least 5-7+ years of hands-on Database Administration experience in a regional infrastructure team.
– Strong experience managing and supporting Oracle, MS SQL, Sybase, and MongoDB, database environments.
– Strong experience implementing database backup, recovery tools, and disaster recovery solutions (Oracle RAC, Data Guard, SQL AG Cluster, Replication Server, etc.)
– Strong experience with database security management (data encryption, securing sensitive data, etc.)
– Strong technical and problem-solving skills for production, application, infrastructure, and electronic trading environments.
– Strong communication skills in English and Cantonese are a definite advantage.
– Server administration and cloud deployment experience (also a plus).
