My client, owning one of Asia’s largest technology platforms, is looking for a strong Data Center Operations Country Manager in leading their Hong Kong DCs Operations. The selected candidate will be leading a team on data center operations.

Responsibilities:
– Manage and lead the multiple Data Center operations teams, with the aim to drive effective and efficient Data Centre Operations across multiple locations.
– Define operations policy, process, and best practices.  Contribute to the continual enhancement of standards & policies and support procedures;
– Oversee the Data Center tooling team to ensure meeting the operations requirements and sufficient maintenance and support.
– Manage the data center operation tools and formulate projects for implementation.
– Manage the change management and problem management in the data center.
– Work with internal teams on production change across application changes, security patches, firmware upgrades, and maintenance activities.
– Manage the data center operations team including personnel management, appraisal, training, hiring, etc.

Requirements:
– 10+ year’s solid experience in a data center operations role and complex enterprise environment;
– People Management capacity in leading a large DC operations team.
– Knowledge in data center engineering management and IT services management.
– In-depth knowledge of Data Center Facilities such as generators, chillers, cooling towers, air handling units, UPS, electrical sub-distribution systems, fire detection, and suppression systems, cable reticulation systems
– Knowledge in managing data center Application Services.
– Strong experience in Data Center Operations workflow and procedure, as well as incident management.
– Knowledge in ITIL, Service Management, and other audits/regulatory standards would also be good;
– Experience in managing vendors and outsourcing partners.
– Strong communication skills in English and Chinese, and ability to work with multiple technology teams in a diverse environment.
