My client, a leading investment bank, is looking for a strong Data Center Project Manager with Mechanical and Electrical Engineering background. The selected candidate will be driving new Data Center build-outs for the bank.

Responsibilities:
– Lead the Data Center build outs in Asia, particularly for the Greater China region. Accountable for data center initial build-out including Mechanical and Electrical consultancy, DC service provider, onsite selections, building due diligence, design validation, RFP preparation, vendor selection and recommendation, testing and commissioning, and project closeout.
– Responsible for leading the end to end project delivery across planning, analysis, design, development, testing, and implementation of Data Center projects.
– Work with the Datacenter vendors of the build-out of the DC space with respect to Mechanical and Electrical Engineering aspects.
– Provide inputs and recommendations on the M&E design parameters based on technical expertise.
– Manage the Data Center Built out projects which include the scope planning, budgeting, timelines.
– Manage mission-critical Data Center equipment design including UPS, Batteries, Generators, Air Handling Units, Cooling towers, Chillers, Sequence of Operations, Control Systems, Fire Detection/Suppression System.
– Manage Project closeout reports and handover of O&M manuals to the Data Center Operation Team.

Requirements:
– At least 10 years of experience in a data center project manager in Mechanical and Electrical roles.
– Experience with data center build-outs projects.
– Strong project management experience across disciplines and practices.
– Strong leadership and problem-solving skills.
– Provide recommendations on new data center equipment and facilities, including new designs, technologies, and construction methods.
– Proficient Project Life Cycle Management and implementation.
– Strong communication skills in Mandarin and English, able to work with multiple engineering teams in a diverse environment
