My client, a leading investment bank in Hong Kong, is actively seeking a hands-on Java developer to work on Bid Data related projects. The successful candidate will have good knowledge of Java and Big Data Development Technologies. Perm position.

The role:
– You will be responsible for developing big data modeling applications using big data technology.
– Design technical solutions based on current and target architectures
– Develop code using best practices such as behavior/test-driven development, continuous integration/delivery/deployment, legacy refactoring
– Responsible for delivering working code that meets acceptance criteria and generates a low level of support
– Participate in testing, deployment, and production activities of the team to ensure production stability
– Develop strong partnerships with the business, and IT counterparties in the region.

 What you offer:
– At least 5 years experience in developing large-scale data-driven applications, preferably with a financial institution.
– Strong experience and knowledge in building enterprise data applications using Java and Spring Boot.
– Experience in Big data development technologies including Kudu, Impala, Flink, Cassandra, and Spark.
– Exposure and knowledge of Data Governance would be a great plus.
– Strong communication in written and spoken English
– Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or Maths related subject from a reputable University.
