Our client, one of the leading global cloud providers is looking for a Pre-Sales Azure Solutions Architect to join their team and help drive the growth and expansion of the firm across Hong Kong and the AsiaPac region.  This is a high profile, client facing role where you will be the technical expert covering architecture, advice, IT strategy / roadmaps and leadership.

Responsibilities:
– Work with technical and non-technical clients across all levels (CXOs, Senior Management, IT Managers, Architects / Engineers), leading discussions on architecture, IT strategy / roadmaps, and solutions design based on the Microsoft Azure platform.
– Provide advice and guidance to clients on building applications and services on their chosen cloud computing platform.
– Work closely with internal colleagues to drive the Azure-based strategic initiatives for the region, such as promoting & evangelising the cloud (industry conferences, webinars and events etc) and enhancing the firm’s capabilities & services on Microsoft Azure.
– Help set up their best-practice knowledge & KBASEs.  Continue to grow and expand your own technical knowledge and skills within this rapidly growing field.

Requirements:
– At least 8+ years as a Solutions Architect:
• Very strong track record providing technical consultation, guidance and advice to clients on IT adoption, implementation & steps to realisation, future roadmaps etc.
• Deep understanding of cloud computing (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS), ideally in Microsoft Azure.  Knowledge and experience of other cloud platforms (AWS, Google, Alibaba Cloud) a plus.
• Expert knowledge of Windows and / or UNIX / Linux.
• Strong knowledge of databases, web services, mail, application monitoring and networking.

– Excellent communication skills (written and spoken) working with CXOs, managers and fellow architects.  Any Pre-sales experience would be a big plus (not a must).
– A keen learner with genuine passion for technology.  Quick to learn, assimilate and pick things up.
– Microsoft Azure certifications (70-532, 70-533, 70-534) a plus.
